THE CHALLENGE

Over many years, CIE LT Forge had accumulated too many values, making it difficult for employees to follow them. As a result, the company needed a set of values that were easy to understand and palpable in practice, rather than merely existing on paper. In other words, CIE LT Forge wanted 

a value system that was actually effective.

THE SOLUTION

Leveraging employee interviews and focus groups, we conducted a values audit to better understand how those values were interpreted and how the team behaved in light of them.

Working alongside the company’s team, we identified four core values that reflected the essence of its internal culture.

For each value, we defined clear behavioural examples to bring out what each of them looked like in daily practice.

We ran practical workshops to help employees embrace the values rather than simply “implement” them.

We prepared an action plan for embedding the values through internal communication, events, leadership messaging, and daily interactions.

THE RESULT

CIE LT Forge now has a set of well-defined values that reflect the company’s culture and goals, with representatives from all divisions participating in their formulation. The team developed a shared understanding of what it means to act on the basis of shared values, along with an action plan that made those values part of everyday communication and gave leaders effective tools to support them.
