THE CHALLENGE
A company selling products for children and families, with over 800 employees across Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Finland, underwent a significant transformation – updating its mission, three-year strategy, strategic priorities, and core values. It was necessary to ensure that Kotryna Group’s employees understood these changes, embraced them, and saw their relevance to daily responsibilities.
THE SOLUTION
We began by conducting in-depth conversations with the leadership team to better understand their goals and expectations. We also audited the group’s existing internal communication channels to identify potential barriers to effective communication of its strategy.
We distilled the complex 30-page strategy document into a concise, illustrated one-pager. To embody the company’s new direction while maintaining its playful spirit, we chose an electric toy train as the strategy’s symbol.
We developed an annual internal communication plan that introduced employees to the new strategy every two months. To ensure effectiveness, we employed a variety of communication channels – engaging presentations, newsletters, regular leadership meetings, and in-store activities.
THE RESULT
For the first time, Kotryna Group acquired a robust system of internal communication channels and a clearly defined content plan. These resources continue to serve as the foundation for the company’s ongoing internal communication, ensuring all employees stay informed about and engaged in its strategic vision.
